Position Qualification

Position Summary

Teaching, scholarship/research and the potential for clinical practice. Teaching responsibilities will include professional, clinical medicine and behavioral health topics in areas of the candidate’s expertise, including distance learning instruction.

Scholarship/research should identify a unique area that enhances the Division’s commitment to excellence in PA education, such as workforce issues, primary care delivery, leadership, curriculum development or other areas of mutual interest to the candidate and UNMC.

Administrative responsibilities include supporting the UNMC distant campus in Kearney, NE degree advancement programs and other areas of service.

Clinical practice is available and considered with the individual talents and goals of the faculty candidate.

Position is located in Omaha, Nebraska.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, have graduated from an accredited physician assistant program and be eligible for licensure in Nebraska.

The successful candidate will have a background in clinical practice, prior experience in Physician Assistant education, and expertise in one or more fields fitting the UNMC mission. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, experience with collaborative learning, skills in team-building, and a record of scholarship.
