Position Summary

POSTING FOR UNMC/UNO EMPLOYEES ONLY

Responsible for coordinating the Omaha Division Learning Resource Center (LRC), a multi-media, learner-centered training environment. Supports the educational mission of the College of Nursing by providing direction, coordination and integration of the educational and simulation resources and services available through the Omaha Division LRC. Responsible for technologies used by CON including, but not limited to, computer equipment, audio/video, software applications and simulation devices.

Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and a commitment to working in a professional, collaborative, and diverse team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of instructional design principles, learning theory, online learning strategies, and technology integration. Demonstrated experience in using sound instructional design principles when interacting with faculty and staff to ensure the effective skills training delivery.

Preferred Education: Master's degree

Preferred Experience:

Experience designing, developing and supporting multi-media instructional activities and simulation, preferably in a health education or higher education setting. Higher education teaching experience. Experience coordinating, managing or leading people and projects. Experience evaluating and improving technology-based educational programs. Faculty and staff development experience. Participation in profession associations and organizations (i.e., membership, conferences, presentations, publications, grants, etc.).

Preferred License: Yes

Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)

Preferred Computer Applications: SAP, Microsoft Outlook
Preferred Other Computer Applications: Learning management systems, other course support software, video editing software
Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of video cameras & video editing software and streaming media production. Ability to learn new procedures and operation of technology.
