Position Qualification

Position Summary

Provide clinical care to patients in the area of general surgery/acute care surgery, with specific expertise in the area of burns
- Participate in the teaching of students, residents, and other health professionals in the area of burns/acute care surgery.
These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to providing appropriate learning experiences for both residents and students during surgical procedures, during out-patient clinic visits (both pre- and post-operative), and during routine care of inpatients on the service.
- Participate in daily rounds (including teaching rounds), clinical conferences, and weekend and night call
- Participate in research within the Division of General Surgery
- Perform administrative duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

-M.D. or equivalent
- Completion of a general surgery residency
- Completion of a critical care and/or burns fellowship
- Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Surgery

Supplemental Qualifications

- Experience and knowledge in the area of burns
